RITU SARAF PROJECT DIRECTOR
Ritu is a corporate professional with over two decades of experience who has found her true calling in rural women’s welfare. Drawing on her strengths in design, product innovation, and extensive travel exposure, she develops market-ready products. Her strong business acumen helps identify commercially viable opportunities in manufacturing and marketing. She believes deeply in harnessing the immense talent of rural women across India.
With a strong commitment to sustainability, Ritu promotes reuse, recycling, and circular economy practices. She is passionate about reducing wastage and encouraging sustainable living. Empowering women to achieve financial independence is central to her vision. Through Project 1100, she aims to ensure a daily livelihood of ₹1000 for every participating woman.
ASHOK PATHAK OPERATIONS & SALES MANAGER
Meet Ashok Pathak, our Operations & Field Sales Manager, whose journey from the small village of Badhoi, Uttar Pradesh, to Maharashtra reflects his remarkable dedication. Joining in 2020 as a driver, Ashok’s hard work and people skills swiftly propelled him to a leadership role.
Despite limited schooling in his local language, Ashok adeptly communicates with foreigners and non-Hindi speakers at fairs and events. His 24/7 commitment and passion for PROJECT 1100 make him an invaluable team member, showcasing the impact of determination and hard work in achieving success.
OUR WOMEN WEAVERS
We all have a story to tell and a passion that we long to exhibit. Our women at Project 1100 have found their way in society through a series of ups and downs in life. Today, we will look back upon the lives of Sushma, Sarita, Reshma, Bhumeshwari, Jageshwari, Krishna and many more, and see how their life has unfolded.
While each story is unique, they all faced a common challenge: limited opportunities. Our women grew up in the rural hinterlands of India. They were raised by their parents, who provided them with the basic schooling affordable to them. All three women pursued their secondary education, but then what? They wanted to learn more; they had dreams and ambitions.
To pursue their dreams, they reached the industrial hub of India, Mumbai. Yes, Mumbai is filled with opportunities, but only for those who have access to them. Finding job prospects in Mumbai was not easy. The struggle was real. Nonetheless, their determination was overpowering.
Our women began their journeys as factory workers and found new purpose through Project 1100’s vocational training. As their skills evolved, they started creating original designs and gained the confidence to sell their own handmade products.
Through exposure at art fairs and continuous encouragement, they embraced gainful employment and independence. Even during the global pandemic, their passion for design remained strong, and they continue to grow, innovate, and shape their future through their craft.

OUR VOLUNTEERS
Ms. ANUSHA SARAF
A student of Aditya Birla World Academy is actively helping PROJECT 1100 as Creative Executive. She is a 12th grade science student aspiring to become an engineer. She has been actively building and executing a strategic marketing plan starting from creative product photography for our online catalog and managing our social media presence since the past 2 years. Her spirited personality and her selfless contribution make her a valuable member of the team.
MS.JIA TULSIANI
Jia Tulsiani, student of Aditya Birla World Academy, Class 11, has been an active volunteer of PROJECT 1100. Her contribution to our brand building is unparalleled. She has been an integral member of the marketing team and worked on the 2025 annual catalog.
She has done the photography and models for all PROJECT 1100 digital campaigns. Her vibrant presence can be seen on our Instagram and Facebook pages regularly.
